Moon Enchanted by Devyn Sinclair

4.0

This book took me a while to actually dig in and enjoy, but once I was there I couldn't put it down and needed to know what happened. Plus now with that cliff, I'll need to dig into book 2 to see what happens.

We meet Cora, an artist from New York, after she delivers a painting to a strange woman who owns a magic shop. While there the lady does some weird crystal magic and all of a sudden Cora's birthmark is disappearing from her skin and she's caught the attention of wolves - that only she can see.

From there she's saved by a good wolf who's actually a shifter who's doing his best to keep her safe. As we dig more into the story and world we learn about the wolves and witches as well as a curse put upon them all. It's a slow world-build with a decent foundation for an expansive world and lore.

The FMC!
Cora didn't know she was a witch and because she wasn't willing to open up her perspective was almost too stupid to live. It was a bit of a frustrating story at first because she fights the wolves tooth and nail, but then slowly shifts her perspective and starts to embrace her magic.

The Guys!
Edward, Knox, and Brandon - three Wolf Kings who have been around a long time. They all have a tragic backstory with their first loves' death the reason they've been cursed. There's a lot of 'we can't betray our dead love' in here, with some more reluctant to move towards their future and mate. Happily they do pull their heads out of the past and it's an interesting tension to the story.

The Smut!
Lots of slow builds and conflicted feelings that then bloom into an unstoppable connection. We have some solo sexy times in here and a hot group scene.
