I'm sorry, I really did enjoy the first part of this book, and the world Kuang build is amazing. I love the underlying political ties into our modern day world. However, I simply got tired of haveing everything explained to me. Our main character is supposed to be a nobody who grows into this powerful place thru sheer will, and hard work. There is so many time jumps where we bairly get any info in between, and then suddenly everything has to be explained to Rin because the reader needs to know, and she is apparently to stupid to figure it out! I just want some strong character building as beautifully thought out as the scenery. Kuang can really describe the people and the world they live in.
