I feel like even though I read the reviews, there was nothing that could have prepared me for the amount of times this author, through their character, talked about pee. Like I tried to mentally prepare myself for the talk of pee but, there was absolutely no way that I could have foretold that right off the bat, pee is talked about, in GREAT detail. There was literally a scene where the main character describes the pee left in the toilet by her roommate like it was melted butter. The main character also talks about hearing someone's pee and it sounding heavy like spilled milk. That's nasty. Also like her roommate NAKED, peeing in her bed and then they just lay in it? Like if she was genuinely sick, get her up bro, you are literally laying in a-what sounds like a lot-of freaking pee. And she tells a story whilst laying in pee! Someone please explain to me what the point was for that. I genuinely felt like there was no actual story, like nothing really happened throughout the book.Does no one clean in this house? Neither of them pick up after themselves? Like someone genuinely explain the plot to me? This book was honestly just vibes. I feel like this book would be an amazing story to tell someone when you're incredibly high. Like if I got high off of mushrooms or some good weed and this was told to me or I listened to the book, it would "feel" amazing.
I feel like this book is for a certain audience and I am not it. It isn't a book I would run and tell people about but if someone asked me what I thought I would most likely answer they should just read it for themselves, because for me, it was just a book I stumbled upon while looking for more books written by women. IN MY OPINION, I wouldn't consider this a great feminist book as I felt that it didn't really do anything. I didn't really feel like it explored anything. I get that it sort of explored her sexuality but even then, that is a reach.
2/5 (If you do read this, please prepare yourself for weird talks about pee)
