WIL
1) UNABASHED NERD CHARACTER. This is so rare!! Thank you, Marissa, for sharing with us this adorable little nerd and his silly situations.
2) MUSIC. Sometimes lyrics don't do anything for me on the page. They're just there, and I don't get any musical inspiration from them. This! was! not! that! You can bet I have arrangements for THE song.
3) being who you want to be. Good narrative. LOVE that. love love love seeing characters find themselves and SPECIFICALLY leave the roles assigned to them by parents/parent figures. GOOD. inject that right into my veins please.

1) I didn't super love the vibe between the two? Mostly because we just didn't really get to see too much of it. We have to rely on Jude and Ari's teenaged feelings about each other for the OTP rather than the scenes depicted in the book. It's... unconventional. I'm not *not* a fan of the approach because I think it does open up some interesting conversations about the lives of characters outside of their depicted romance stories, which is important, but...it's not really what I came here for I guess? I think the ship just needs more development. Perhaps a sequel...???
