Sometimes happiness doesn't take the form you expect

I love all kinds of M/M books, but one kind in particular that makes me giddy is when the guy is CONVINCED he is straight, making the feelings he's starting to have for another guy that much more confusing (I guess this is essentially what they call GFY). Magnus falls in this category, making his and Dante's story that much more fun to read, especially since they more or less seem to loathe each other at first (enemies to lovers being another trope I adore).

If you've been reading Sloane Kennedy's books, at this point you can pretty much assume that 1) the guys are broken in one way or another, and 2) they will help each other find peace and happiness. And I *never* get tired of it. Sloane somehow manages to make each character have their own voice and their own issues, and the story is never trite or predictable. In fact, this one had me on the edge of my seat sometimes! Lots of action and sexy times, but lots of sweet and poignant moments too. Another 5-star read!!
