Grounds for Remorse by Misty Simon

3.0

I enjoyed the first book in his series so when the second book was available from Netgalley I decided to give it a read. Unfortunately, I found this second book to be a bit disappointing in terms of the characters. I thought Tallie was flat and Gina was more whiny than I remembered from the first book. Even Max and Tallie's relationship felt off. I thought the mystery was solid, with plenty of suspects, twists and turns. For me, it was the mystery that saved the book. I was surprised by the outcome and the identity of the culprits. I'm not sure if I will continue with this series.

I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy provided to be by the publisher through Netgalley.
