Unfortunately, I am not a part of the majority that is raving about this book. It was extremely disjointed, jumping all over the place and didn’t have a cohesiveness that would make for am enjoyable read. I also didn’t feel as if the subject matter was respected as it should’ve been. For example, in some instances, it would’ve been best not to have humour injected in an otherwise solemn sentence as if trying to make it more “happy”.

Last but not least, I would’ve liked to read of a Muslim burial rite and have more historical context re: the ones in the book.
