These are my thoughts as I was reading it and what happens during the whole book. ALL SPOILERS!!!
I wasn’t too sure I liked the turn this story took but it grew on me. I love that Cole actually has a bunch of money. It makes sense being that Cole and Trace were in the same line of work but we always thought Trace only got his money from his families estate. I think it was a little aggressive to drug her coffee and kidnap her though 🤣 at the same time she is feisty and probably wouldn’t have went otherwise. She was about to move super far away and these men weren’t going to allow that. While there they take her to a room that used to be Cole’s but now she is told “it’s ours” as in Trace, Cole and Danni’s 🤭they are all sharing a huge bed hahaha why so this exactly what I wanted from the beginning and I am not a why choose girlie. There are even photos of both guys with her around the room 🥹 I LOVE that they are giving her 6 months and she can’t choose before that. They said they will know if she makes her decision before that time. It’s so interesting that they aren’t willing to share but they are willing to do things like restrain her and spank her in front of each other. THEN it happens… they have a threesome and it’s everything I’ve been wanting and more 🤣 the way Pam Godwin writes her steamy scenes 🥵 unfortunately the guys weren’t as into it as she was and swore they would never do that again. That they just did it for her because they knew she wanted it. 🙄🤣 The moment Danni chooses Cole my heart completely shatters. IT’S THE WRONG CHOICE. HE’S THE WRONG CHOICE. The way Trace leaves and before he gets in his car Cole goes over to him and says a bunch of stuff and then hugs him 😭 biiiiiiitch I was unwell. Cole and Danni try and make their relationship work but she couldn’t stop thinking about Trace. Danni walks into a room she had never been in and finds all Cole’s work stuff and he’s on the ground in deep thought. He still checks his emails and gets a bunch of “job” offers. Cole ends up letting Danni go. He left paper work for her and one of those things was the deed to her St Louise house. He had bought it after they kidnapped her 😭 Cole knew how much that house meant to her. Danni gets settled and had yet to talk to Trace. A little while later she shows up at the casino and Trace is having dinner with a woman. She walks up to him and the first words were “where’s Cole. I haven’t talked to him in a month”. Then she bends down and whispers “I’m going to fight for you” then tells him and his date to have a nice dinner and walks out. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Trace shows up like he did the first time they met and he offers Danni her job back with the same terms. Except when she’s handed the contract she changes it from 5 days a week to 7 and changes the huge salary to a more normal one. Trace is so guarded and cold and it’s heartbreaking. He’s trying to guard his heart. The woman who Trace was at dinner with ended up being the new CEO of the casino and Danni’s new boss 🤣 she found that out after demanding to know if she was fucking him. Suuuuuper awkward. Trace tells her that she had enough time crying over Cole and to “Shake it off” and that they will marry on Valentine’s Day 🤣 💀 you know she is with the right man when they have sex and she isn’t thinking of anyone else but him 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Cole decided to go back to work after things ended with Danni which I mean we all knew that was going to happen. I love how Trace and Cole still talk. At Danni and Trace’s wedding Cole showed up and Trace ran after him and they had a super sweet moment by Cole’s motorcycle. After they have their moment Cole looks up at Danni, who is far away, and mouths “Be happy” and she mouths to him “Be Safe” 😭😭 Danni said her and Cole’s relationship started with a smile and ended with a smile. The fact that Trace invited Cole to give them closure speaks volumes about him and shows he was the right pick. After all, Love isn’t a choice 🫶
