The Book of Koli by M.R. Carey

3.0

Ok so although this was good overall, this felt a little too much like YA to my taste (I guess I should have read a few reviews before starting) and certainly lots of ups and down in my interest for the plot. It's worth trying though, it has some very neat ideas and you warm up to the characters. I think the way it ends is a good premise for a follow up and I'll probably pick up the next one in the trilogy. I'm not dying to read the rest, however.

Originally I went for it cause it was recommended as a climate fiction book. There are certainly some aspects of it that are climate fiction related, but it's not really a focus of the book so I wouldn't put it high on the list of must read for cli Fi books.
