rudyleon 's review for:
Written in My Own Heart's Blood
by Diana Gabaldon
If I didn't love the series, I wouldn't have much good to say about this (and the previous) book. These two books were painfully meandering and overlong, and the work of a good editor was sorely lacking. I don't care where the author wants a book to end, if she can't get it there in tight form, you end it earlier.
I'm not even sure I want to give this one 3 stars. And the last page, thinking, "wait, is this the last one? She can't just end it there!" .... turns out, I don't care. I don't think I'll read the next one, should there be one.
