In anticipation of finishing the border trilogy soon I picked this up and flew through the story of two californian drug dealers, childhood friends, and opposites, chon a violent ex vet and Ben sophisticated hipster. They make an unlikely trio with girlfriend O, daughter of a mother who lavished money on her but no attention.
When a Mexican cartel seek to take over their business the subsequent story makes for thrilling reading, and with extremely short chapters it is cinematic in its pace.
