The Odyssey by Gareth Hinds

4.0

It never ocurred to me that a great classic like this could be reimagined in such a visual and entertaining way! After reading Circe by Madeline Miller, ( also a great reinterpretation but with more focused view on fantasy and romance. A great spin off nevertheless) I wanted to read more about Odysseus's story and trials. It's not even worth mentioning how hard is to read the original one, Homer's Odyssey, even from translations and retellings. We may never know what truly happened in ancient Greece or what how exactly Homer told the original story, but we can only imagine and reimagine the stories of the great Aegean people. In all greatness, author did a great job portraying Odysseus and the others, it is a book that attracts both young & old folk or any other Greek myths fanatic like myself.
