Wow! Does this writing duo know how to create a story arc that captures the reader and keeps the engrossed for multiple books!
I listened to the audiobook version of Lochlann Feud series. Firstly, the narrators absolutely did an absolutely amazing job. They were able to really able to encapsulate what Rowan and Evander sounded like and the chemistry between the narrators was amazing, even though they didn’t read simultaneously, they were still complementary to each other.
This final instalment didn’t hold back. Revenge was taken, wounds and relationships were mended and a future of change was dreamed. Evander and Rowan’s relationship was challenged and strained but they each grew from these adversities. It was satisfying to see how much they both grew throughout the series. From an unlikely friendship to falling in love, we see Rowan become a woman of strength and pride, thanks to Evander ensuring she always felt like his equal in all things. The ensemble characters we thought were enemies became allies and absolved themselves of past indiscretions.
Elle and Robin provided a satisfying ending, one that gives the reader hope that Rowan and Evander will keep their promise and create a kingdom that knows abundance and peace. I am absolutely hooked by this duo’s writing and will definitely be reading more from the pair.
