Dust Storm
by Maggie Gates
I really loved this book. The last quarter of the book was so good.
I definitely with others that the way Cass treats the girls in the beginning is too harsh for someone who’s gonna end up falling in love with their dad. I wish Maggie would’ve written those scenes a little softer because it didn’t feel believable that someone who felt that strongly against kids would end up with someone who had kids.
Putting that aside, I really enjoyed the relationship between the two main characters and how Cass grew to care about the ranch and the family. Reading about Ray’s accident was hard (and I knew it was coming. The way the family worked together through that and how Cass was there for them all.
I cannot wait to continue this series!
