I just don't know what to make of this book. Will need to do some research to better understand why it's considered a classic.

Is it a Romance? No.
Is it a mystery? No.
Psycho thriller? No.

It's just... A story of how the abuse experienced by one person, then impacts everyone else around him for generations. With a little racism and classism thrown in for what reason idk. 🤷🏽‍♀️
Wouldn't Hareton's hatred of Heathcliff being based off his father's favoritism be enough? And Heathcloff's subsequent bad character be enough for the town and everyone else to judge him?
