Buckled by Pam Godwin
5.0
Buckled pulls you in like a lasso and doesn’t let go. This second book in the Trails of Sin series is everything I didn’t know I needed—dark, sexy, and full of suspense.
Why I Loved It:
- Jarret Holsten: He’s a tough, protective cowboy with a commanding presence and a sharp wit. I love how he’s both alpha and playful, and the way he falls for Maybe made my heart melt.
- Maybe Quinn: Maybe is all sass and strength, with just enough vulnerability to make her relatable. She’s determined, smart, and not afraid to stand up to Jarret, which makes their dynamic electric.
- Enemies-to-Lovers Perfection: The banter, the tension, the chemistry! These two are fire and fuel. Their connection builds slowly, but when it ignites, it’s an explosion.
- The Plot: Secrets, lies, and a slow unraveling of the past made this such a page-turner. There’s a darker undercurrent to the story that kept me hooked, and the revelations hit hard.
- That Scene: Yes, that rain and lightning scene.
