Where Violets Bloom by Daisy Jane

Did not finish book. Stopped at 18%.
MMC is a cop and the whole thing reads like a boot lick to the government. Likes to abuse his power, harasses people on his off time, escalates a traffic stop. The whole nine yards. Also he has a Tesla on a cop salary ? And the FMC praises Elon Musk’s work ethic. As if Elon Musk has ever been a teacher that didn’t have Daddy’s money. 

I don’t know how the author can brown nose capitalism and also create a scenario where the FMC has a medical bill that wipes out all her savings and forces her to live with her abuser. And on top of that, her boss is  SH’ing her, and she can’t do anything about it cause she needs her job. 

Stopped reading because the MMC was itching for violence, so he pulled someone over for expired registration and escalated it to pulling him out of his car and pulling a taser on him. And his partner is just like watch out for the cameras. ??? And all the while the MMC is saying he’s such a good guy, but he can’t let people break the law and get away with it. Yeah…. Right…

Remove boot from mouth, then write a book.
