Not My Heart to Break by Willow Winters, W. Winters

5.0

Not My Heart to Break is the complete collection of the USA Today bestselling, Hard to Love series

Longing To Hold (4*) This is the beginning of the story. 10 years before the first book in this series. It is the story of the longing and the stolen glances between Seth and Laura. It's Derek telling Seth not to do what they both know he's going to do. It's the story of Laura mourning her father and wanting more from Seth than just walking her home from school.

Hard To Love (4*)
After reading the Irresistible Attraction's series, I was desperate for more for Willow's Merciless world.

I really wanted Seth's story. You know from previous books that he and Laura have a history. Hard to Love is that history. And it. is. wild. There's so much story packed into this 200 and some pages. I'm obsessed with this story. I'm obsessed with this world. The angst and the feels that Willow Winters has weaved in this world make you hunger for all of it. And even though I know it's going to hurt before it gets better, I'm ready. This story ends on something of a cliff hanger.

Desperate To Hold (4*)

This is the second part of their story and the intensity gets deeper this go around. Seth wants to hate Laura for what she did. Ditto the reverse. But they simple can't. And yes, I still get a tingle every time Seth says Babygirl.

Laura doesn't want to get sucked back into Seth's orbit. His world. But she can't help herself. And I honestly can't blame her. Seth was one of the main reasons I needed more from this world.

And boy am I getting it. I now will not and cannot wait to finish this story.

Tempted To Kiss (5*) After practically bingeing the first two books in this series, I could not wait to get to this one. AND I WAS NOT PREPARED. The relationship between Seth and Laura is so nail biting and raw...I'm on the edge of my seat here and I really need book 4, right the heck now.

This really is Willow Winters at her best as far as I can see.

It's all here. The drama. The angst. The steam. The WHO IS MARCUS AND WHERE IS HE AND WHY IS ALL OF THIS HAPPENING? AND THAT ENDING. I...SHOOK. I don't know what kind of answers we're going to get in book 4, but I'm here for it right now.

Easy To Fall (5*) Wow. I'm speechless. I already was on the edge of my seat and had my expectations set to their highest for this final instalment in the Hard To Love series. But honestly.. those expectations were blown right out the water.

After practically binging the entire series, I wasn't sure what to expect from the final instalment. But I got a ride, that's for sure. I still have so many questions and I got very few actual answers. Especially after that last chapter.

I know there's more to come in the Merciless world. But I don't think I'm ready to let go of Laura and Seth yet.

There's so much in this book. Moments that made me tear up, moments that made me bite my nails. Moments that made me truly worry if both Seth and Laura were going to make it. And moments that made me worry for Carter and the rest of the Cross brothers.

TL/DR; This series was incredible and you guys need to read this series and get as sucked in by the Cross brothers (and Mr. King) as I have been.
