Red Dirt Heart 3 by N.R. Walker

I enjoy these books so much. The story just follows Charlie's life as a cattle rancher in all the dramatic and mundane ups and downs of such a life. Slice-of-life stories, when done well, are some of my favorites, and Walker has developed the cozy world in the Red Dirt series very well. I thought I would be more exasperated at some of Charlie's stubborn qualities, but surprisingly I wasn't. It helps that Charlie is incredibly endearing, and the other characters are adorably cheesy in that almost-too-cheesy-but-not type of way. I'm glad there are one more book and some short stories left in the series.
