This is one of the bleakest books I've ever read. A tale of a mother holding those she loves tightly in her fists as they are tugged from her one by one by war and violence.

Broke my bloody heart to be honest.

Whether intentional or not, it's inseparable from Gaza, and from every other place I see on my social media feed daily.
