Find Me by André Aciman

‘If I stood for an hour staring at this wall, I’d be with him for an hour.’

After putting of this book for so long due the negative remarks surrounding it, I have to completely disagree with the reviews because I enjoyed this book whole heartedly.

Yes, I would have adored more Elio/Oliver, but I was very pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t, and I’m glad that there wasn’t. The slight subtle sentences, the remarks of the pasts throughout the book were beautifully done. Every slight mention to the events that happened in CMBYM made my heart burst with overwhelming love, and the fact that E/O weren’t the main focus of the book just made the whole thing for me.

I loved each perspective, I loved how the style of writing changed, not to much, but not too little, with just simple words.

Although, I do wish there was at least one small chapter of Oliver and Elio reuniting. I would have loved to have read how André would have worded it, because he has some type of way with words that just makes my heart hurt.
