Trigger warning for heavy heavy themes of suicide and suicidal ideation.
I love the concept of this book: aliens abduct a depressed teenager and tell him he has the power to push a button and prevent the end of the world. The themes are also very moving; how do we reconcile being a tiny speck in the universe, a fraction of a second in the endless bounds of time? Do we matter? Does anything matter?
Really lovely conclusion to this book that resolves the weight and emotion of the narrative. I recommend!!!!
