eughhhh…i always expect kasie west’s books to be enjoyable but this was just not..that. i think overall it felt uninspired. like i understood what messages she was trying to convey in the novel but her attempt just fell kinda flat. their relationship didn’t have that strong of a development, and the story overall just felt forgettable. two hundred pages into this book i almost gave up reading it, and i was so happy when it was over. i will say music festival stories are never really my thing, but i feel like as much of a musical person that i am, books with songs in them never hit. it takes so much to be a great songwriter, and i feel like it’s even more difficult to write in the perspective of one. i will say i loved the “signs from the universe aspect of it because that’s so me core also, avery is so real because i’m anxious 24/7
