I went into this book blind around the plot, only knowing many loved it. I was a little surprised by the main plot driver. This was very well written. Even with a hockey club full of characters, I was able to easily follow. Backman ties everyone together through seamless transitions. The characters were also well developed. I had a few favorites and strong feelings about some others, which was likely the intention. But some of the ways the story was handled just don't sit well with me - again, maybe the intention. Overall I enjoyed the read (listen).
