The Shuddering by Ania Ahlborn
5.0

Slow at first then woah

The beginning of this book was extremely slow and difficult for me to get through. It felt like a whole lot of nothing with a few intriguing parts but mostly slow. Then suddenly it takes a turn and it's full speed ahead. I couldn't help but cheer on Jane and Ryan and hope that they would get happily ever afters. With all the crap that was being thrown at them left, right and sometimes right in the face you can't help but want the best for them and everyone else involved. I will say the story telling Ania does is amazing as always and I was right there in the snow with April feeling her pain. With Sawyer feeling his guilt. And Lauren sweet Lauren who you can't help but love, I smiled at each of her insightful convos. Ryan's smart a.. attitude yet loveable personality was easy to like. But Jane is the person you can't help but feel being pulled towards with her kind demeanor and amazing outlook on life, she's the kind of person you hope you raise your children to be like. By the end you have a sense of hope and relief but if you know Ania and her style you know what's coming. So don't let the slow start stop you keep going, I promise is gets so much better!
