I Wanna Be Down by AshleyNicole, Erin B.

Fun Read

Super producer Dash has had his fair share of women and never realized there was something missing in his life, until he met Sesali. Sesali can’t deny that Dash is attractive but her best friend called dibs so Sesali does what she can to introduce the two, problem is Dash has no interest in Sesali’s friend. Even though Sesali doesn’t seem interested Dash needs her in his life, even if it’s as his best friend. The closer Dash and Sesali come the easier it is to accept the gradual change in their relationship. With the change in their status though comes some unexpected twist and turns.

AshleyNicole never disappoints, sis comes through every single time and Sesali and Dash’s love story is no different. I absolutely loved their relationship and their progression from friends to lovers. What was so dope about their relationship was their ability to have fun together. Sesali was just a goofy fun person and she bought out that side of Dash, which was a much needed change because his life was all about work and ignoring his childhood trauma. I loved how easy it was for Dash to open up to Sesali about his childhood. Dash seemed to have no second thoughts when it came to letting Sesali in. Dash was very attentive when it came to Sesali and her needs and I absolutely loved that.

Dash and Sesali both had such good hearts when it came to the people they loved and called friends. Sadly, some of those same friends didn’t reciprocate the love and support they gave them, so you got to see a different side of Dash. I was secretly wishing Dash would go off on Los a lot sooner than he did, he gave bro one to many chances for me. That dang on Zoe irritated my soul the entire book, sis was doing a lot for a man that didn’t even want her. I had a feeling Zoe was going to be a problem from the beginning.

This was such a fun read, while there was plenty of outside drama Sesali and Dash didn’t have any drama in their relationship and surprisingly I was here for it. I highly recommend you go pick up this book. It does take a little while for it to get hot and heavy in the book for those who like the spice in the beginning, but it is well worth the wait, because when it finally does reach that point its fire.
