The author watched The Proposal and said, “I can do that, but with Spain.”

Horrendous use of the fake dating trope and just a hard to like story. The book spends more time trying to convince the reader that Catalina is special and unique and telling us Aaron is apparently the largest man to exist than wanting to develop the romance.

Aaron is a lot less annoying than Catalina and it’s just because he’s irrationally in love with her and doesn't spend his time being toxic. However, as obsessed as he is, you constantly ask yourself how he could have fallen for her.

I’m all for a silly little romance, but this wasn't entertaining in the slightest way and the only reason I finished was because this book was chosen for a book club.
