House of Furies by Madeleine Roux

3.0

Weird but good.

I had zero expectations when diving into House of Furies but when I saw it in hoopla, I just had to have it. This book was creepy, weird, and highly entertaining. I loved it. However, I will admit that I did kind of zone in and out during some parts of this book. I totally blame work because I was kind of in the zone while working on stuff and then I realized I was listening to a book.

Now after I finished this audio book I watched a creepy movie, I think it was called down a dark hall? Not quite sure about the title but it kind of reminded me about this book. Girls go to this school but during their stay they are kind of occupied by a ghost. They are trying to finish their work and in the end, the girls go so crazy that they die. Whether it’s suicide or not. So yeah, in a way it kind of reminded me about this book since people travel to this place to die (sort of).

Besides that, I wanted to like certain characters of this book but found I couldn’t. I am, however, intrigued enough to dive into the next book of this series. Just to see what’s going to happen next.
