Between Walls by W.R. Gingell

4.0

3.5 stars, rounded up because I enjoyed finally getting some ANSWERS at the end of the book. I was already Very Suspicious of a few things, and it was satisfying to know I was right.

3 stars for the case for this book - Morgana wants help, and Pet and the Troika look into it. Throughout the case, they meet new characters who, I am sure, are going to be important in the future, but... honestly, the case is a little bit boring.

4 stars for the overarching plot for the series - This book is really about setting up the plot of the series, Pet and heirlings and what's going on Behind and so on. It kind of feels like a pivot point, with the case being less important and the series plot being more important, I suspect that trend is going to continue. Especially since the overall series plot is getting more complicated, as certain plot lines become interconnected and new details emerge.
