never had a reaction to a book like this one!! had be absolutely gagged and SHOCKED at the twists and turns, it’s been a while since I’ve read a book where I didn’t predict the twists until right before they happened and it was WONDERFUL! yes there were some slow parts and yes Lord Henry is an awful human and yes it’s a product of its time but I’m a HUGE Oscar Wilde fan and the fact this book was considered scandalous at the time is wild, especially because he was convicted of gross indecency!! it’s mainly two sometimes 3 men being incredibly sassy towards each other with a hint of homosexuality but it’s really just the adoration the characters have for each other. truly gagged the entire time even though it took me a while to get through and it works so wonderfully as an audiobook like the language is even better read in a British accent
