Gio's Possession

I made it halfway through which is an accomplishment.
First. The formatting. I like my books to look like books, not stories crafted on wattpad.
The lack of “un” words and saying things like “not able” shows a real need for a professional editor.
There’s a lot of reiteration, and telling instead of showing. Gah so much telling. Pages and pages of prose without a lick of dialogue to tell us things we already know.
How many times can an FMC forget she has a brain and make ridiculously stupid decisions? How many times can one person “almost” have terrible things done to them?
Tbh I can’t even remember her name.
Gio is supposed to be some OTT JP type guy.
He falls in love faster than a teen girl w a new crush.
The emotional connection doesn’t exist. I’m being told a story and it’s not even memorable.
My stopping point? Yeah when the kinda sorta almost mafia guys texted about unaliving ppl.
