Well, that was fun. Even if I had no idea what was going on a lot of the times. Kem and Rika are back at it again, fighting celestial beings, echoes (which im still not entirely sure what they are), and humans alike.
The stakes felt at the same time lower and higher than the first book, but it is not a sequel that disappoints. I actually think that it allows the reader to have a better grasp of the magic system and the world. This time we are only going to 5 echoes down instead of literally to the Void, so you know reality is a bit more stable.

Thank you so much to Orbit Books and NetGalley for the e-ARC of this book. Hopefully I’ll also get to read the e-ARC of the third book.
