Honestly I found this volume to be kind of off-putting. There was just so much masturbation and teen boy angst right off the bat, it was not what I was expecting. This first volume does not make any of the main characters seem like the best of people, except for maybe Mitani since Yo has such a pure vision of her in his head. Kei especially subverts all expectations in a way that makes me curious about her thoughts and motivations. I think I will read more of this just to see where it goes and if it gets better, but it’s off to a rocky start.
