The science here is incredibly interesting to me as a non-scientist. I could have lived without the personal stories, but that may just be me. I think many readers would agree, however, that this could have used a better edit. The first 2/3 jumps around quite a bit from topic to topic, sometimes later bringing up a person mentioned much earlier (who you now don't recall). The last 1/3 is more straightforward memoir but feels out of place in the rest of the book. Definitely worth a read despite its imperfections. Super fascinating, and much of it was unputdownable to me.
