The Vagrant by Peter Newman

“When everything’s going alright, best thing you can do is sit back and enjoy it till things turn to shit, which they surely will."
This book is unique and captivating. I really enjoyed the conviction to have the main character, our Vagrant, to be silent both outside and within - no inner monologue, he speaks only through his actions.
I really liked the dynamic in the group with travel with too. The baby, the Goat, and Harm. There's comedy, heart, and loyalty all rolled in.
Most everything is really well written, with clever details. My only stumbling block, is that I'm still not sure what is going on with the grownup Vespa. I couldn't get a grasp on those chapters, for some odd reason - maybe it was the audiobook, maybe it was my brain.
Looking forward to listening to The Malice.
