Exciting, eventful, and surprising, An Absolutely Remarkable Thing takes on complex concepts the dangers of 21st century fame and polarizing ideology with a funny, imperfect protagonist and many twists and turns.
Hank had unique and thoughtful insight on what fame can do to a person. He even said in his acknowledgements page “I could not have written this book if I had not been taken on a weirdly remarkable journey into Tier 3 fame…” On the flip side of this is probably a me problem, but as someone who knows Hank Green’s “voice” a little too we’ll, I did find it somewhat distracting to read at parts.
Overall, I’m very excited to read the next book!
