A Touch of Darkness by Scarlett St. Clair
2.5
Plot or Character Driven: Plot
Strong character development: No
Loveable characters: Complicated

Persephone just felt really young to me in this book, so it was a bit awkward reading the steamy scenes. Her issues in this novel seemed too trivial. I also felt like there were problems with the pacing of this book. The ending felt rushed along with the romance between Hades and Persephone- but then again, I love a slow burn. I liked how Persephone came into her own, but that too felt too rushed. Everything happened too easily. Also, halfway through the book Persephone suddenly has “darkness” inside her??? I definitely did not get that from her inner monologue or actions until basically the end. I think what I did end up liking was Hades lol
