The Wisteria Society of Lady Scoundrels
by India Holton
DID NOT FINISH: 44%
I started reading this book for the book club I'm in and I really enjoyed it at first. Funny characters, lady pirates and an overbearing aunt which reminded me of Violet Crawley from Downton Abbey. But a lack of world and character building quickly made me confused and not eager to pick up the book and continue again. I did get halfway and already found it getting a bit repetitive when I attended the book club meeting, in which I decided the second half didn't seem worth reading as it is quite repetitive. India Holton already has the amazing writing style and this book had everything it needed to be fantastic, just a bit more worldbuilding and variation, it would've been perfect!
Minor: Gun violence
