The Last Story of Mina Lee
by Nancy Jooyoun Kim
I really don’t know how to rate this one. The plot was good and intriguing but the style of writing left a lot to be desired. I found the author repeating herself constantly and it wasn’t clear if it was the protagonists inner monologue or not. It was distracting, frustrating, and without it the book would have flowed a lot better and been shorter. I did love the political and social commentary, however. And therefore struggle to give it only three stars, but the repetition made me almost DNF this one.
