Reading this book made me feel smart. Recognized the non-fiction characters; scientists and mathematicians, and learned a great deal about their lives and contributions. What I believe to be the fictional stories woven in to the history of these characters helped make the book more enjoyable. Take it or leave it, it's a slow moving book, but worth the read.
