While more limited in scope than its predecessor, it manages to flow better and to naturally be more humorous. Either I got more used to Cain's style or simply the author did a better job. It's after all a simpler setting, Caiaphas Cain fighting at once necrons and orks, or at least trying to run away from them, but managing to defeat both as always.

There's not much to say really, the plot is straightforward, the characters better developed, all in all, a very light read that makes fun of Warhammer 40K tropes. And sometimes, that's all we need.
