This was the PERFECT autumn/spooky season read šŸ‘šŸ½ So atmospheric, super spooky + downright chilling in parts. Think.. the perfect book blend of Stranger Things + IT.

I picked this up based on the super unique cover + didn’t realise until I started researching reviews that this is actually classified as a YA horror—— the horror element definitely keeps it from feeling too young + it was still super enjoyable, but I felt the characterisation (although brilliantly written) was for sure aimed towards the younger audience.

After a steadier start, the plot became more + more intriguing as it progressed, culminating in a super satisfying ending. I loved that the whole way throughout the book, we were never really sure if the ā€˜stitcher’ was supernatural or a plain old human serial killer, and this kept me on the edge of my seat + absolutely captivated.

Parts were actually really dark + quite descriptive, if you have a low tolerance for gore (like me🄲). I’d recommend picking this up if you’re looking for a brilliantly plotted, chilling + suspenseful spooky read that will have you feeling claustrophobic + on edge!
