The Strange Journey of Alice Pendelbury by Marc Levy

3.0

3 1/2 stars. Alice Pendelbury is enjoying her life in 1950s London, hanging out with good friends and working as a "nose," creating perfumes. Then she meets a fortune teller in Brighton who tells her she was born in Istanbul and will meet 6 people on her journey to the most important man in her life. Alice is puzzled, but ends up making her way to Turkey with her cranky yet generous neighbor Mr. Daldry to learn more about her past and possible future. I enjoyed the characters and the story, but the ending felt a little forced/rushed.
