I felt like I was missing some context and had to keep checking that this was book 1 of a series and not book 2. I wish we got Kira and Maximβs story first so we could have their background since he seems to be the top guy, but I really enjoyed them as side characters.
I look forward to seeing where the rest of the series goes with Nikolai- I think that will be a great book too.
