It's worth reading even just for Malcolm's incredible speeches about science and life on earth. Pair it with a really gripping plot, interesting characters and of course Chricton's incredible writing, and you have a great book to read.

The plot is close enough to the movies to give you a false sense of security, but different enough to always keep you guessing. The characters, while being a lot, never feel too hard to remember or differentiate between one another, they're all very well defined and explored. The scientific part sounds complex but it's explained very clearly, it's written purposefully to inform you but also let you enjoy the book even as an ignorant on the topic. Wonderful read, I highly recommend it!
