Well now lemme tell yall bout this here book The Sandy Page Bookshop by Miss Hannah McKinnon it done tickled me real good like a fried bologna sammich on a Sunday afternoon this book was like a warm breeze blowin through a porch swing down in Cape Cod which I aint never been but I sure felt like I was there smellin the ocean an all

So this gal Leah she done gone an got her heart broke up yonder in Boston an she crawls back home feelin lower than a worm in a rainstorm and she finds this ol broke down sea captains house just sittin there lookin sadder than a possum on the highway and she gets the bright idear to fix it up and turn it into a bookshop and a lil ole café now if that dont sound cozier than flannel sheets in February I dunno what does

Then theres this fella Luke he been hangin round town like a good pair a jeans and he remembers Leah from way back when but she dont know nothin bout him at first and he’s one of them good hearted kinda men that can fix stuff with his hands and probly fry a mean catfish too anyhow he helps her fix up that house and lemme tell ya if there aint nothin sweeter than two folks fallin in love over some drywall and dust bunnies then I aint got no sense

That lil shop they build turns into the heart of the town and everybodys comin by gettin coffee and books and probably talkin bout whos kissin who behind the lobster shack and it just made me feel all mushy inside like mama’s cornbread still warm from the oven

So if you like books that make your heart do that lil hop skip thing like a rock on a still lake this one’s for you it’s sweet it’s got love and books and second chances and it aint too fancy none just the way I like it

I give it 5 catfish outta 5 now go on and read it yall
