The Christmas Appeal by Janice Hallett
3.0
The Christmas Appeal by Janice Hallet is a carry over book with the same characters and concepts as Hallet’s other book titled, The Appeal. A while back I read Hallet’s book The Appeal and enjoyed it, however, this novel fell a little short for me. Hallet’s novel is christmas murder mystery told through emails, texts, police reports, and police interviews with the intent of solving the murder. Everyone who is apart of the christmas play is considered a suspect in order to find out who killed Santa. The way Hallet told the story through multiple perspectives made it hard to follow along, I tried just listening to the audiobook, using the audiobook and following along on my Kindle, and lastly simply only reading it on my kindle. All three of those options were not successful and still made it hard to follow along forcing me to reread a lot of sections. Overall, the storyline and mystery is interesting and kept me on my toes once I was able to follow along.
