4.5 - My foray into Stephen King has me in awe of his ability to craft realistic and utterly gripping narratives while dabbling in the wackiness of his wondrous mind.
Even before reading the Afterword, you can tell that an immense amount of research went into this story. What’s special is that said research poured itself onto the pages in a manner that resulted in ever growing depth, engulfing the reader in a strange sense of intense immersion and not drowning the reader in dense historical text / misinformation / conspiracies. Bravo bravo bravo.
