I loved the concept of this book but it fell pretty flat for me about halfway through. I was so engrossed in the style of writing that I was often losing what the book was supposed to be about. I also find this kind of dialogue style and writing style in general difficult for a full novel and usually prefer it with short stories. For me, dialogue is what moves a story forward so when a conversation is being described instead of seen, it's hard for me to be as engrossed in the characters. I do love Quan Barry's writing though and this is a beautiful piece. I can't believe I almost forgot to include it!
