I despise the overuse and disgusting depictions of racist ideas and prejudice in the novel. As much as I can understand that it is quite reflective and interesting; it had left me with a sour aftertaste with the weight of unnecessary racist messages in the novel. It was uncomfortable and ruined the novel for me.
